USA's Pete Sampras was on a roll unlike many in the 90s, lifting the prestigious Wimbledon title on as many as seven occasions. He won from 1993-95 and 97-2000 respectively.

Roger Federer, one of the greatest the game has ever seen, is currently tied with Sampras with seven titles. He first won Tennis' biggest event in 2003 and continued his dominance in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2012.

Bjorn Borg, who between 1974 and 1981 won 11 Grand Slam singles titles, has won five consecutive Wimbledon singles titles from 1986-1990.

Germany's Boris Becker is a six-time Grand Slam champion who has three Wimbledon titles to his name in 1985, 1986 and 1989.

He might have been labeled as "The bad boy of Tennis", but USA's John McEnroe has seven Grand Slams to his name including three Wimbledon victories in 1981, 1983 and 1984.

King of Clay as he is often called, hasn't had an equally convincing reign at Wimbledon and has come out victorious twice in 2008 and 2010. He beat Roger Federer and Tomáš Berdych in the respective finals

Stefan Edberg of Sweden, who was a wonderful proponent of the serve-and-volley style of play, lifted the Wimbledon Trophy in 1988 and 1990. Both the years, he defeated Boris Becker in the finals.

Andre Agassi of USA featured in 15 Grand Slam finals out of which he won eight. He won the Wimbledon title just once in 1992 when he beat Croatian Goran Ivanišević 6–7(8–10), 6–4, 6–4, 1–6, 6–4.
